  Desert View's motto, "Majoring in Bible" is much more than a motto. The preaching, teaching (as well as the songs sung) are sound doctrinally, and offer principles for use in daily life. The people are friendly and welcoming. You will be blessed from God's Word at Desert View.

  I have been a member here at Desert View Baptist Church for about 2 years now. I praise God for this church and my church family. I am so thankful that God has put me in a church where the people are real, the care is genuine, and the love is from God. I am very happy to be a member of this church where I can say with the utmost confidence, any visitor that comes through our doors will be met with a genuine smile and a hearty handshake, the Word of God will be preached, consistency will be observed, and you will meet REAL people. I encourage anyone and everyone to visit at least once!

  This place is for sinners who need to be saved by Gods grace. You won't find fancy, slick, bells or any whistles (except maybe on Wednesday nights when the kids are running around). You will find a bunch of people who have come from all parts of the desert as broken individuals to gather as a family and humbly worship God together. I've been attending this church for six years and I have found this place to be a refuge, a place filled with love and forgiveness and a place I go weekly to refresh my soul.

  This church is one of the few left where the pastor preaches directly from the inspired Word of God...The Holy Bible. If you are looking for a watered down church that caters only to "feel good religion" without the repentance of sin, this might not be the right church for you. But....if you want to hear the truth and know how you can feel secure about your relationship and salvation with our Lord Jesus Christ this is the place you will find that. Pastor Ron Carter is well educated and skilled at delivering the Gospel and helping his congregation to understand it and apply God's principles to modern life today. Him and his wife, Jean, are dedicated to the church, our community and the nation to help Christians return to and stay on the "old paths" that honor God our Father.

  This church is awful. The head pastor here is evil. I am ashamed for true Christians everywhere that this church calls itself a Christian church, as it is nothing of the sort. The website describes the church as a welcoming place, but it is only welcoming if you are a hypocrite who is willing to pretend to be perfect and without sin. The leadership of the church is judgmental, cruel, and completely clueless about what it means to demonstrate Christian love and acceptance.
  If you want to go to a church that believes in punishing its church members and treats its congregation, particularly its female members, as if they are living in Salem Massachusetts in the days of the witch hunts, this is the church for you. Otherwise, please look for another church home where the community will welcome you even if you are in some way a sinner (as we all are, of course). AVOID THIS CHURCH AT ALL COSTS.
